Privacy policy

GlobalTrade Agro is a marketplace between agricultural producers (individuals, farms and associations who sign up on their own) and exporters (verified companies that already use the GlobalTrade ERP). This policy explains what data the app uses, why, and who it is shared with.

Who is responsible

GlobalTrade, operator of the GlobalTrade Agro platform (Ecuador).

What we collect

• Account: name, email and phone. The password is stored hashed, never as text.
• Producer: business data (trade name, producer type, province/city, contact person, experience, crops). Your national ID or RUC is used only to verify your identity: it is never shown to other users; only the platform's verification team sees it.
• Farms: name, province, hectares, crops, infrastructure, certifications and location. The exact GPS location and address are shown only to an exporter whose contact request you accepted; other exporters see an approximate location (~1 km).
• Photos, videos and documents you upload (farms, certificates, verification). Before upload, the app removes location metadata (EXIF/GPS) from photos.
• Chat: messages, voice notes and attachments you send to other users.
• Exporter: your company identity in the GlobalTrade ERP (company name and your user), your saved lists, notes, saved searches and requests for quotation.
• Notifications: your device's push notification token and platform (iOS/Android).
• Security: a log of sign-ins and important actions (date, IP address), to protect accounts and handle reports.

What we do NOT do

No advertising. No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. No tracking across apps or websites, and we do not sell data. The phone's location is used only, while the app is open, when you place your farm on the map. The microphone is used only while you record a voice note.

Who sees what

• Verified exporters: your public profile, published farms, photos, certifications and offers (according to the price visibility you choose).
• Your contact phone and email, the farm address and exact GPS: only exporters whose contact request you accepted.
• Other producers do not see your farms or your data in search.
• If you block someone, they no longer see your farms and cannot message you.
• The platform team accesses data only to verify accounts, review reports and provide support.

Who processes data on our behalf

• The GlobalTrade ERP server, where the data is stored.
• Expo (notification service), Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service: only to deliver notifications (title, text and an identifier).
• Google Gemini: only when you tap "Translate" on a message; the text of that message is sent to be translated.
• The server's email provider: sending verification codes and account notices.

How long we keep it

Account, farm and offer data are kept while your account exists. Expired offers remain in your history. The security log is kept up to 24 months. When you delete your account we erase your data as described below; backups are overwritten in their normal cycle.

Deleting your account

In the app: Profile → Account → Delete account. You can also follow the instructions on this page. Your name, email, phone and password are erased. For a producer, the profile data (including the national ID/RUC), the farms' data (name, description, location, address, MAG code, crops, certifications with their numbers) and the offers with their price history are erased, and photos, videos and documents are deleted. For an exporter, lists, notes and saved searches are deleted. The conversation stays in the other party's records, but the content of your messages is erased and shown without your name.

Your rights

You can view and correct your data in the app, change notifications, block and report users, and delete your account.

Minors

GlobalTrade Agro is a professional tool for people aged 18 and over.
